As Black Sabbath prepares for their final live show in Birmingham, England on July 5, the band’s founding bassist Geezer Butler expressed that he is feeling anxious ahead of the highly-anticipated performance. “I’m already having palpitations,” Butler recently shared with The Guardian. “In fact, I had a nightmare last night. I dreamed everything went wrong on stage and we all turned to dust. It’s important that we leave a great impression, since it’s the final time that people will experience us live. So it has to be great on the night.” The Back to the Beginning charity concert will feature the reunion of the classic Sabbath line-up for the first – and last – time in two decades, including singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, Butler, and drummer Bill Ward, along with performances by other heavy metal titans like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and many more.
