Phoebe Bridgers is back with Lost Weekend, her third solo studio album and her first since 2020’s Punisher. Released August 14, the 16-track project marks her return to solo recording after several years that included major collaborations and her work with boygenius.
The album’s release announcement confirmed a full-length collection that stretches across 16 songs, including “The Outside,” “Lost Boys,” “Kill Me,” “The Governor’s Waltz,” “Bobby,” “Haunted” and “Still Standing.” The record closes with “Lost Weekend (Reprise),” giving the project a bookended structure.
Much of Lost Weekend stays close to the intimate songwriting that has defined Bridgers’ solo career. The songs move through grief, changing relationships, memory and personal transition, while the production combines acoustic textures with more atmospheric and experimental details.
Early critical reaction has highlighted tracks including “The Outside,” “Lost Boys” and “Kill Me,” while other songs emphasize the album’s quieter side. The project arrives six years after Punisher and begins a new chapter in Bridgers’ solo catalog.
