Backpack Drive 2017

It’s that time again for everyone in our community to do their part to help kids in need get prepared for school.

So many kids in our community want to learn and are excited about school, but for one reason or another struggle to come up with the supplies they need to help them be successful. Once again, our friends at Oregon Community Credit Union, St Vincent De Paul, KMTR, Bi-Mart, and Brittain House are teaming up to help with the Backpacks For Back To School backpack drive.

The event kicks off August 7 at the Bi-Mart on 18th and Chambers at 10:30 a.m. They are encouraging you to bring down backpacks or any other supplies you would like to donate.

And if that time doesn’t work for you, just visit for locations that work with your schedule.

Then on August 18 at the Staples on West 11th they are once again holding the giant STUFF THE BUS between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. There will literally be a school bus they hope to pack full of backpacks to help out our eager learners.

Please help do your part to send our kids to school this fall with the supplies they need to learn. Thanks!
