How about a hidden gem from the 90’s for your ‘Music Monday!’ This rare Nirvana tune actually features Dave Grohl on vocals. ‘Marigold’ was originally going to appear on Grohl’s 1992 solo project, “Pocketwatch,” according to Consequence of Sound.
But it ended up being re-recorded and released as the B-Side to “Heart-Shaped Box.” The recently unearthed alternate version of “Marigold” features Kera Schaley on the cello as well.
BTW, in addition to Grohl singing the lead vocals on this track, he also wrote the song, played guitar and bass with fellow Nirvana band-mate Krist Novoselic, and if you listen closely, you can hear Kurt Cobain backing Dave up on vocals Check it out and enjoy!
