Sometimes these stories really make you scratch your head and ask WTF… Well, this is one of those stories. Apparently, there is a huge black market is Asia for iPhones, especially the shiny new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. According to The Verge, today’s #DumbAssOfTheDay decided to try and capitalize off of the huge demand for the sleek smartphone.
The Verge is reporting that a Hong Kong man (unnamed), was attempting to smuggle (poorly smuggle I might add), 94 new iPhones into China via some tape and plastic bags…OH! By the way, I forgot to mention he used the tape and plastic bags to line his body from shoulders to toes with the iPhones!
This guy is a different breed of dumb ass. How he thought this was a logical way to smuggle phones for profit into China is mind blowing. He really thought he was going to get away with it until customs agents noticed how Frankenstein-esque he was walking and the jig was definitely up when he got to the metal detectors… that’s right, metal detectors.
It’s clear that this scheme wasn’t thought out properly and the unnamed man (pictured below) now has to figure out a new source of income because custom officials seized all of the devices.
