If you’re going to try and commit a crime, (which we NEVER condone or encourage); you have to commit 100% to it. Don’t just bail before you’re home free like these 2 dumb asses.
Here’s your #DumbAssOfTheDay and to be fair, it’s actually two dumb asses. Nothing better than a 2 for 1 right? Right. According to TheSmokingGun, Tarus Scott, 30, and Genard Dupree, went to a local Polk County Wal-Mart to try and steal some toys (presumably for their own children or resale, not for charity) and devised what they thought was the perfect plan.
They loaded up their cart with about $400.00 worth of toys and headed to the exit. That’s when Dupree was supposed to fall to the ground and fake a heart attack, which he did; while Scott took the goods to the car. Only problem with that, is this “heart attack” only lasted for about 44 seconds and that’s when Dupree got off the ground, dusted himself off and walked out of the store like nothing ever happened.
Needless to say, Wal-Mart’s loss prevention team reviewed security tapes and quickly pieced the scam together resulting in arrests for both Dupree and Scott. They were charged with felony grand theft and each was hit with a single count of dumb assery. Check out the mugshot below!
