NRQ Kids’ Fishing Derby

We’ve had so much fun the last two year with our Cumulus Kids’ Fishing Derby that we just couldn’t wait to put it on again.

And that means another Father’s Day Weekend of fishing fun for everyone!

That’s right! Saturday, June 15 from 10 am to 2 pm we are once again renting out the Alton Baker Park Canoe Canal and joining up with the Department of Fish & Wildlife to dump hundreds of fish for our kiddos to come out and catch. And it doesn’t matter if they’ve never fished before, the people at ODFW will have volunteers on hand to help out if you need it.

They’re also going to have rods and bait available for you to use as well. So even if you just pick up that day and decide to head out, we are prepared to make it an enjoyable day for you and your family!

But that’s not all! We’re also tagging 200 or so fish that we dump in. And if your kiddo is 12 and under and catches that with a tag, all they have to do is bring it up to our table and they can spin the wheel to win a prize!

Everyone who wants to fish and is over 12 needs to make sure they go out and get a fishing license before they go, but the whole family is welcome!

But remember, this day is for the kids!
